R1136 Renault 8S de 1968 (Chromeo_R8)

Hello all, I’ve not been on this forum very long I thought I’d share some progress on the restauration of my R8 type 1136, which has been a hillclimb car for most of its life before being sold on due to lack of indoor storage, the cars engine (R5 Gordini atmo) and transaxle where stripped to go in another car

Lotton Park hillclimb late 80’s early 90’s

blow is the car when I purchased it in October 2021 and the transporter for the ride home

wouldn't it be an R1135???

peut-être mais les calandres de 1136 ne sont pas équipées de prises d'air

sous les clignotants si je ne m'abuse ??

Toutes les R8S ont les prises d'air sous la calandre Export ou pas Export

Désolé Ghazi 106, j'ai acheté une S neuve en 1970, les prises d'air n'y étaient pas, seulement sur les 1135...

Could be a difference to the Uk spec 8S’s compared to TS, for instance we got larger outer headlights and smaller inner headlights the same as a 1135 Gordini, our cars also have disk brakes all around where as I the TS got rear drum brakes :sourire:

I think there where other changes for the Uk spec cars also, 1136 is stamped in my floor pan by the drivers seat

et bien la mienne n'en avait pas, le vendeur m'avait dit que seules les 1135 en avaient.

La concession n'existe plus, le vendeur doit être à la retraite donc je n'irai pas réclamer .... ::

En tout cas jamais vu de R8S sans prise d'air si non il se peut que quelques unités sont sorties, comme ça faute de disponibilité de la pièce.

Bonsoir à tous .

Sur ma R 8 S jaune de 1970 , il y avait bien des grilles d'air sous les extrémités de pare-choc avant .
