i done the same with a r8 Major 5 years ago.I called the thing the ratdini.
r8 Gordini look a like.1647 cc fuel injected.it is sold naw but still runing not fare from my house.

Ce sont des roues de R8, élargies à 6 x 15 à l'avant et 6,5 x 15 à l'arrière.

Un ami est un excellent fabricant et ingénieur pour une entreprise de tuning GTR réputée. Avec les pièces de récupération que je possède, il a réussi à me fabriquer un collecteur d'échappement tubulaire pour la culasse à flux croisés. Ce n'est pas encore terminé, mais voici quelques photos.

je voulais qu'il soit monté sur le dessus pour le garder loin du démarreur, de l'alternateur et d'une partie du câblage.

Ah oui, on va commencer avec un turbo, un crossflow et un carburateur R5 GTT. Je passerai peut-être à l'injection intégrale à l'avenir, mais il me faudra une boîte de vitesses plus robuste pour l'exploiter pleinement.

complete engines are harder to get hold of over here for a good price. I've not seen a complete running one available for a long while. I enjoy the "scrapyard" piecing together of bits I have around to make it work. A simple head swap on my current engine with a new cam is only a few hours work in reality. Having custom manifolds allows me to fit things neatly vs using the complete manifolds for the turbo, and then switching to a different fitment allows me a wider range of more modern turbochargers.
I've also got wind of some 5 speed casings and parts so I may have a stronger gearbox in the future
